Krishna River Origin

    The Krishna River originates in the Western Ghats near Mahabaleshwar at an elevation of about 1,300 metres (4,300 ft), in the state of Maharashtra in central India.       The Wilson point is very nice has multiple view points as told it is the highest point of mahabaleshwar and fog was around most of the time! At a point we couldn't see in front and was very cold would suggest to carry warm jackets on you trip

            At a distance of 10 km from Mahabaleshwar Bus Stand and 5 km from Old Mahabaleshwar, Elphinstone Point is one of the famous viewpoints situated atop a hill near Arthur Seat Point in Mahabaleshwar. Elphinstone Point discovered in 1830 by Dr. Murray and has an old mansion in its vicinity.
